How to Access our Tree Farm

Access to Ueland Tree Farm
We are pleased to allow public access to the tree farm for responsible, non-motorized recreation.
Our own family has benefited from many private landowners allowing us to cross their property for a hike, bike ride, horseback ride, or to reach a ‘put in’ or ‘take out’ on a river trip. Our quality of life in the Pacific Northwest is enhanced when private property remains open to the public. We seek to be a positive example in that regard and are fortunate our legislators in Olympia encourage private property owners to keep their lands open through the protections offered under RCW 4.24.210.
We ask visitors to obey all signs, avoid active mine sites and areas being logged, and be extra careful around heavy equipment. The tree farm reserves the right to close to the public at any time, including during periods of abnormal fire risk.

Lebers Lane Trailhead
The trailhead parking area accommodates 60+ vehicles, including pull-through parking for horse trailers. Please note the lot sometimes reaches capacity, particularly on sunny weekend days.

Dickerson Falls - 2 miles
A bridge and viewing area just above the falls were installed in 2017 with the help of two dozen volunteers from the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance. The bridge was built with wood felled from the tree farm and milled on site. Please be careful if you choose to climb down to the base of the falls, as this short path is very steep. Please click here for a trail map.

Zach's Lookout - 6.5 miles
After Dickerson Falls, the Dickerson Trail uses forest road U1100 as it begins west and then quickly takes a right turn to cross over Dickerson Creek just below Beaver Dam Lake. The forest road winds its way up hill through open, young forest before reaching Zach’s Lookout.
Please note the best views from the top loop section at Zach’s lookout vary based on the tree harvest schedule. Currently, the best view to the north is slightly east of Zach’s lookout and there is an excellent view of Lake Tahuya to the west from the recently logged area on the SW part of the loop.
On hot days, some visitors prefer to make this hike early in the morning before the sun hits the more exposed parts of the road.
You can return to the Lebers Lane Trailhead by reversing your route on U1100 or by using other connecting forest roads such as U1190 or U1180.

South Loop Trail – 2.9 miles (from Dickerson Falls)
From the trailhead, the main forest road (labeled U1000 on the map) rises gently while heading initially to the west and then turning to the south. Along the way you will skirt past an active quarry on your left. As you approach 2 miles, turn right on forest road U1110. Forest road U1110 loops north until you are back near Dickerson Falls. At the intersection with road U1100, you should turn right to return to U1000, at which point you have completed the loop clockwise! Turn left on U1000 to take you back to the trailhead.
From Dickerson Falls, if you want to complete the loop counter clockwise, you turn right for a short distance on U1100, then turn left to head south on U1110 for approximately 1.4 miles, at which point you will intersect with the main north-south forest road on the tree farm (U1000). Turn left to head north and you are on your way back to Dickerson Falls and the Lebers Lane Trailhead.
